Motion City Soundtrack has finished an official press release regarding their work with Mark.
Motion City Soundtrack are heading back into the studio! After a busy 2008 touring the globe, the release of an acoustic EP, and the hit TV series Gossip Girl featuring the track “Fell In Love Without You” off the EP, the band has been hard at work writing the follow-up to 2007’s critically-acclaimedEven If It Kills Me.
Rejoining MCS in the studio to produce their Columbia Records debut will be Mark Hoppus of Blink-182. No stranger to the members of Motion City Soundtrack, Hoppus first teamed up with the band when he produced their hit record Commit This to Memory – which has gone on to sell more than 300,000 copies since its summer 2005 release. In the midst of his super busy schedule reuniting him with his Blink-182 bandmates AND recording new music for their upcoming album, Hoppus has chosen MCS as one of the only records he will produce this year.
“We were excited to work with Mark again because we had such great fun and great results last time. And he begged. It was a little pathetic.” – Tony Thaxton (Motion City Soundtrack Drummer)
