l_36465dc51b3c4fe785e577a5ed035b44… the following immortal words were spoken by Travis Barker at the Grammys…

We used to play music together, and we decided we’re going to play music together again

Those uttered words made my year, if not decade.

A big thanks to Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker & Tom Delonge for getting it back together ‘for the kids’, to the blink fans who have been super nice to us here on blink182.co.uk (best fans EVER) and a big shout out to our South American friends and HNDSM*RNDSM – the guys behind the Blinkumentary.

Can’t wait for Summer 2010 (European Tour) and let’s just see what happens single and album wise. Should be ace.

Let’s continue supporting the band in every way we can – legal downloads, buying merchandise, seeing them at gigs – tweeting the funk out of them on Twitter. Just, keep the fuck away from piracy.

Lastly, but not least – thanks to the peeps who help me out with this site & the Twitter account; Katrina (Ink182.com) & WTFItsCiaran.

As for this site – lots in the pipe line, stay frosty.

Handsome Randsome are back on it with a new Blinkumentary trailer for us, the first of what I’m sure will be quite a few more to come throughout 2010 (They’ll still be recording on the European Summer Tour).

Watch the video below where Tom Delonge takes a retrospective look back at the Summer 2009 tour and looking forward to what you can expect from the guys musically,

No ones expecting it to be a straight forward rock record and I think everyone expects it to be the work of our life and probably the most ambitious song writing and art we’ve ever made and I think now that we’re ready for it” ~ Tom Delonge.

Also, if you missed out on our original interview with the guys behind the Blinkumentary (Handsome Randsome) which we had the pleasure of conducting late last year, then check it our here!

    How AWESOME? :)

UPDATE: And if that wasn’t enough for us, Gillette are also releasing a backstage documentary on ‘rock stars’.

    From the band, via HMNIM;

After much thought and consideration, Blink-182 has rescheduled their next two shows in order for Travis Barker to mourn the loss of his dear friend Adam Goldstein. Blink-182 will now play St. Louis, MO on Sept 29 and Cleveland, OH on Sept 30. To accommodate the change, shows in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA have also moved to October 6th and 7th respectively. There’s an overwhelming amount of really bad band merch out there, but blink-182’s been around long enough not to expect you to waste your money on crap. Two non-crap examples: blink-182’s Summer 2009 limited-edition tour poster, designed by artist Maxx242.

This is an article from the MTV Buzzworthy Blog. Check out the original post here.

Mark Hoppus, vocalist and bassist of Blink-182, said his band is always looking for innovative new ways to share music with fans.

“An online 3-D performance was something we just had to be a part of,” Hoppus said in a press release. “As big technology guys, we’re pumped that people can now experience a little bit of our summer tour through something as accessible as [a] bag of Doritos and a computer.”

LN bag_frontA few days ago Katrina posted a link to the ‘Behind the Scenes Mystery Video‘ and we also spoke about this over a month ago when photos of that shoot were going around. The mystery is finally over.

I can confirm now that the video is for a Blink-182 ‘virtual performance’ that you will be able to watch online over at Doritoslatenight.com. However, there is one catch. You’ll need to grab a bag of the new Doritos ‘Late Night’ snacks – out in stores nationwide (USA) 6th July. Here’s a small blurb about it; Read More | Comments

    I Miss You Music Video

Signs On San Diego posted this interview with Mark, Tom and Travis.

    — “Everything, absolutely everything, means more to me now,” said Travis Barker, the 33-year-old drummer in blink-182, following one of the first performances by San Diego’s most successful rock band since it broke up four years ago.

The pop-punk trio’s spirited appearance yesterday at a taping for Fuel TV’s “The Daily Habit” show came less than nine months after Barker was one of two to survive a South Carolina plane crash that killed four people.

Can you imagine a reality in which pop-punk legends Blink-182 never came together? We might all be clamoring for Collective Soul tickets or downloading exclusive Tony Bennett songs.

Thankfully, Blink-182 has been a vital part of our scene since the late ’90s. Even during their years apart, the influence of Blink has been almost impossible to quantify from the zillions of bands who have drawn from their sound to their playful, rebellious aura.

AP has covered Blink since their early days, and in honor of their fourth cover (AP 252), we’ve pulled together most of the stories on Blink-182 and Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker.
