Here’s a video of some studio time with Mark Hoppus. According to some other sources, this piece is going to be part of the Mark Hoppus solo album and not the new blink-182 record. Either way, it sounds awesome.

Spend a Day in the Studio with Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, to Produce a Track for your Band!
How? Simply start bidding on the charity auction, here.
This auction is in aid of THE CHI LING CHENG SPECIAL NEEDS TRUST.
“On November 2nd, 2008 Deftones’ bass player and brother Chi Ling Cheng was involved in a horrific car accident which has left him in a semi-conscious state.
In his journey to recovery, the Cheng family has accumulated an overwhelming amount of medical bills that insurance does not entirely cover.
As a result, it is Deftones’ mission to raise substantial funds to help ensure Chi’s recovery. To help achieve this goal, the band will be playing two benefit shows in November 2009 at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA. Additionally, for supporters unable to make these shows, Deftones has also launched this online auction to make available another opportunity for fans and friends worldwide to make a donation to the Trust.
All net proceeds will go to the Chi Ling Cheng Special Needs Trust that has been set up by the Cheng family to help pay for the growing medical costs required for Chi’s survival and recovery.
Deftones have the best fans in the world and Chi values every single one of them greatly. Please continue to show your unwavering support by helping with this very important cause.“

$42,000 Hospital Bill – Let’s Give Something Back to the Team Behind the ‘182 Summer Tour!
Posted in: Mark Hoppus, Tour
Now, before I get in to this – I do not mean this to sound harsh or anti-American, because anyone who knows me, knows how much I love the US of A (It’s my goal to live there as a hobo one day, living on the shoreline of the west coast and making money by doing really, really gash blink-182 smiley face logo tattoos… oh and speaking of tattoos, checked out Ink182.com by Katrina yet? It’s awesome. Go, now.). err… where was I. Oh yeah, then TODAY my little UK free NHS health care bubble popped when I saw this tweet byMark;
“one of the amazing crew members on the blink-182 tour had to have emergency surgery while on the road: http://www.thealivattermatter.blogspot.com/” (Original tweet, here). READ IT. Ok, some of you are lazy asses like me and won’t even click that link, well, here’s a snippet;
“The matter at hand is healthcare and how like millions of Americans out there, Ali Vatter can’t get health insurance. Due to a pre-existing condition, Ali has been denied NUMEROUS times for health insurance. She is even willing to pay whatever it takes, and still no companies will insure her.
While working on tour with Blink 182 and Fallout Boy, she was feeling ill and was rushed to the hospital. After twelve hours of numerous testing, the doctors eventually discovered that she needed her appendix out immediately. As the tour continued on, Ali had to stay behind in Tampa, Florida all alone, get surgery and stay in the hospital to heal for 3 days.
Now, you may be thinking, no big deal, appendix surgery is easy, blah blah blah… BUT what you may not realize is that all the tests and hospital stay cost her $ 42,850!“I’m just totally shocked and amazed that in 2009, in America, this goes on. It all seems a bit 3rd world like to me. :-/ANYHOOOO…BLINK FANS, LET’S GIVE SOMETHING BACK! Read More | Comments

Mark Hoppus – Part Time Hairdresser!
Posted in: Mark Hoppus
It was mentioned wayyyyyy back (I think before the tour even started, or maybe not soon after) that Pete Wentz would get his Emo fringe cut off for end of the FOB with blink-182. Well, here it is ladies and gentlemen;
Death Of Auto-Tune Death of Emo Hair Cut
Maybe Mark shouldn’t give up his day job just yet, but I think it was a preddy respectable crewcut for Pete Wentz.
